      How It Got Started

Based as we have always been in Atlanta, we began early in 2007 looking for a way to be more available to people on the West Coast. We put it out there and very soon found the answer when we “landed” at Christ Unity Church in Sacramento in August of 2007.

The minister, Reverend Jim Lee and his wife, Sheila  Gautreaux-Lee, were both very enthusiastic about and committed to Radical Forgiveness. Sheila had already set up a large group within the church doing a year-long program based on Colin’s Radical Empowerment Program, so when we suggested it, they were both excited by the idea that we make their church our West Coast Base.

So we put together a plan whereby they would make Radical Forgiveness their major focus and Colin would come out at least twice a year and stay for a couple of weeks at a time to run training programs, workshops and seminars, not just for those within that church but for people living anywhere on the West Coast or indeed anywhere in easy reach of Sacramento.

The Radical Empowerment Class is Showing the Way:

One hundred and twenty people from within the church congregation invested in the Radical Empowerment multimedia study kit in 2007 and in addition to doing the daily work, committed to attending monthly meetings for a whole year. In 2008 another group of 85 has started the second round.

Having been trained by the Institute as a Radical Forgiveness Coach and a Radical Manifestation Coach and workshop leader, Sheila had the vision and the intention to bring the Radical Empowerment program to the Church, and it has proven to be very successful. . She is now taking it out to other ministers and training people how to run this program in their own churches.

Doing this work has established a strong core-group awareness of the power of Radical Forgiveness within the Sacramento church by having people who have learned to use it consistently in their everyday lives. This gives our West Coast Center a powerful energy around which to coalesce and to grow.

Forgiving Your Parents Workshop

A new workshop by Colin Tipping

No matter what forgiveness issues or dramas people have typically arrived with to work on in our intensive Miracles workshops, almost all issues have been traceable to some kind of negative judgment or unmet expectations about either Mother, Father or both. This seems to be true whether the early years were marked by extreme family dysfunction or where all might have been seen as quite normal, and even loving, to a casual observer. Feelings of abandonment or rejection, feeling unloved, unappreciated, molded, feeling not enough, and experiencing one or both parents not being there emotionally are typical issues that arise to be worked through.

So, whether you grew up in an abusive household or not, if you feel that you have any kind of unmet expectations or judgments around your parents — especially if those have shown up repeatedly in your life over the years, particularly in relationships, this is the opportunity to dissolve that energy and free yourself from whatever limiting beliefs you formed in those early years. It will also free your parents.

We will use several of the Radical Forgiveness tools to dissolve that energy, but one of them in particular is best done over a period of a few days. Splitting the workshop up beginning with a full afternoon session on Sunday followed by two evening sessions on Monday and Wednesday is particular beneficial in this regard. It also includes the Tuesday evening breathwork session, an essential part of the workshop, which is were the real spiritual work is done.

Trance Dance

Satori Trance Dance - Enlightenment through Shamanic Movement

Driven by the beat of the drums, our ancestors danced their prayers deep into the night, casting their souls into Creator’s loving embrace.

We find evidence of dance from the beginnings of recorded history. It seems that our original relationship to dancing was for the purpose of worship and healing. In this ancient time our ancestors honored nature and all its elements as an expression of God. To duplicate or ‘mimic’ nature through movement and sounds was their first and highest way to connect with spirit, and was the origin of dance.

Today, JoAnn Tipping recreates that experience of reverend surrender through Satori Trance Dance.

What is trance dance?

Eyes covered by bandanna, breathing deeply, you surrender and trust your senses in new ways. Creating a higher connection with the music, your spirit and your body, you dance non-stop for a hour. By surrendering to your "higher self" you are free to be totally in the moment. You become the student of your body, not the mind, and the EGO takes a rest. Feeling the music with every atom of your body, you become one with the rhythm, the beat, the flow and the universe discovering new realms, new worlds, and new options. The dance can take you to different countries and different times. You experience connection with all life…angelic, devic, and animal totems that guide you along your path; past, present and future. As you trust the dance to a fuller and deeper level you fall in love with yourself allowing your body to experience things you couldn’t imagine possible before the dancing meditation. You discover there is no separation between your higher self, your shamanic self and the you that began the dance.

Radical Relationships Workshop

This six-hour workshop spread over two evenings will reveal some secrets of relationships that will show you how you have been doing relationships up to now, and what purpose relationships serve. You will discover why some have failed or run into trouble, why you have had trouble attracting a mate, and so on. Don’t miss this one if you want to create a new relationship, revive one that is not all that it might be or just improve the one you have that’s working. It’s a fun workshop as well as one that is likely to change how you manage relationships forever.

Radical Self-Forgiveness/Self-Acceptance Workshop

This workshop focuses on radical self-forgiveness and self-acceptance. It is a full weekend of self-exploration and self-healing that promises to empower you to attain the life you are meant to have in all its glory.

If you could actually see your own thoughts and capture your deepest beliefs about yourself, chances are the picture these thoughts and beliefs would paint would not be very pretty. We have been programmed by events and other people to think and believe in certain ways inconsistent with who we truly are. Guilt, shame, self-hatred and simply feeling unworthy or not good enough keep us from reaching our true potential.

You will be guided through specific techniques to clear your consciousness of guilt, shame and self-defeating thoughts that prevent you from loving and accepting yourself unconditionally, just the way you are, in all your magnificent imperfection, just as Spirit intended you to be.

A Satori Breathwork session is included. You will emerge transformed, empowered and ready to live life to its fullest.

      Bio's of Teachers

Colin Tipping

Colin Tipping is the creator of what has come to be recognized as one of the most powerful leading-edge technologies for personal and spiritual growth today — Radical Forgiveness. He is the acknowledged authority on the application of this technology to the “healing” of individuals, families, races, corporations, and communities. He is an award-winning author and leads workshops around the world. He is now using a similar technology to help people create the life they want through a process called RADICAL Manifestation.

His workshops are renowned as life-changing experiences and he is increasingly in demand as a keynote speaker at expos and conferences. Those who have praised his work include John Bradshaw, Mark Victor Hanson, Caroline Myss, Neale Donald Walsch and Gregg Braden.

Personal Background

Colin was born Sept 30th 1941, in England. He was educated at London University and Middlesex Polytechnic. After serving in the Royal Air Force for four years, he became first a high-school teacher and then a college lecturer in the Education faculty at London University. He was there for ten years prior to emigrating to the U.S. in 1984. He has three children and ten grandchildren all living in the UK.

Organizations Founded and Initiatives

1. In 1993, with his American born wife, JoAnna, he co-founded the Georgia CancerHelp Program and Together-We-Heal, Inc., a 501-c-3, non-profit corporation dedicated to emotional and spiritual healing. They ran cancer retreats in the North GA mountains for five years from 1993 to 1998. Forgiveness was a big part of their program.

2. In 2000, he founded the Institute for Radical Forgiveness Therapy and Coaching, Inc., based in Atlanta, Georgia. The purpose of the Institute was to train people in the skills and practice of Radical Forgiveness Therapy and Coaching. It still continues today. Beginning in 2007, the Institute now also provides certification training programs for facilitators of Tipping’s Radical Manifestation weekend workshop.

3. Colin Tipping is the founder and is CEO of Quantum Energy Management Consultants, and the designer of the Quantum Energy Management System (QEMS), a system of conflict prevention for the workplace based on a special form of Radical Forgiveness. This initiative is outlined in his books, Spiritual Intelligence at Work and Hidden Agendas at Work.

4. The World Peace Through Radical Forgiveness Initiative is one of Tipping’s passions. He is of the firm belief that we will only have world peace when we are at peace internally ourselves and that the key to finding that inner peace is Radical Forgiveness. He also believes that it will take only a relatively small number of people raising their vibration through doing their Radical Forgiveness work to create the critical mass necessary to cause a dramatic shift in consciousness to occur. In his second book, A Radical Incarnation, he shows how George W. Bush, Tony Blair and Saddam Hussein were ‘healing angels’ whose mission it was to heal America and then bring us all to a point of awakening. Tipping then encourages people to come to his web site to forgive the terrorists and others involved.

Principal Theme of His Work
The main characteristic of his work is a practical spirituality that is simple, honest, straight-forward and unpretentious. While he never claims to know the truth and is happy to live in the mystery of the question, he loves to muse and create ‘stories’ that at least make sense to our limited minds and resonate with our inner knowingness. He has a knack of making spiritual issues simple and practical. He believes that spirituality is useless if it cannot be used in a practical way in our everyday life. His books all have a practical side to them as do his workshops.

The bedrock theme running through all his work is that there is Divine purpose in everything and that everything that occurs, happens not TO us but FOR us. Therefore, at the spiritual level, there is nothing to forgive. This is the essence of his Radical Forgiveness work and is the thread that runs through everything. It is an optimistic form of spirituality which is essentially free from judgment, blame, resentment, guilt and fear. At the same time it recognizes and accepts the essential need for souls to experience such feelings as part of their spiritual advancement.

Principal Workshops

1. The “Miracles” Workshop
A long weekend, residential healing intensive for people who need help and guidance from Colin, albeit in a small group situation, in releasing profound pain relating to past or present traumatic situations. This workshop is limited to a maximum of 15 people.

2. The Radical Self-Forgiveness Workshop
A weekend workshop for people who are dealing with intense guilt or shame and who need help in releasing both and finding mercy and acceptance for who they are.

3. The Radical Forgiveness Workshop
A 2-day workshop which is a more classroom based program but which takes the participants through the use of several of the tools of Radical Forgiveness applied to their own issues.

4. The Magic of Radical Forgiveness
A one-day workshop which is mostly experiential during which participants have the opportunity to focus first on forgiving a particular person and then on forgiving everyone else in their life. This is done as a two hour ceremony.

Colin Tipping has become very well known in Europe as well as the United States and Australia. His Radical Forgiveness book is currently published in German, Russian, Polish, Spanish and Dutch and is soon to be published in French and Turkish. The Radical Manifestation book is published in German and Polish. It is published in English in India and Australia.

He has established an Institute for Radical Forgiveness in both Poland and Germany which has resulted in a large number of Radical Forgiveness coaches being trained in those countries to date. These coaches are making a great contribution to the lives of people by sharing the principles of Radical Forgiveness with them.

Colin Tipping regularly conducts workshops and training sessions in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Poland as well as in Ireland.

JoAnn Tipping

Jo Ann Tipping is primarily an artist, but what she is best known for is the way she weaves her healing arts into all that she does. Jo Ann is a Radical Forgiveness Coach and Facilitator as well as a facilitator of Satori Breath work. She is also a certified Trance Dance Teacher. Jo Ann has a passion for women's issues and has led transformational workshops that support women in getting in touch with their creativity and intuition.

Jo Ann and her husband Colin, co-founded "Together We Heal , Inc., a nonprofit organization that sponsored the "Georgia Cancer Help Program ." During the 1990s, this program ran a series of 5-day retreats in the North Georgia Mountains for people with cancer & other life threatening diseases. It was during these retreats that Jo Ann brought all of her healing arts skills together. She now brings them, as well as astrology into the workshops that she co-facilitates with Colin.

In February of 1996, JoAnn went to the Natale Institute, Austin, TX to become a qualified instructor of Trance Dance. Upon her return, she immediately incorporated this work into the menu of items for the variety of work she has done with Together-We-Heal, Radical Forgiveness & Essence of Being workshops. Many have experienced one or more of these sessions and know why we think of them as ‘Satori’ (Japanese term for enlightenment or insight) events.

 

Sheila Gautreaux-Lee

Sheila is an ordained Interfaith Minister, Licensed Unity Teacher, published author, popular inspirational speaker, semi-retired opera singer and member of the Ministry Team at Christ Unity Church in Sacramento, California where her husband is Senior Minister. She travels nationwide and internationally, bringing Radical Forgiveness to as many people as she can reach.

Shari Claire

Shari has been involved in the New Thought Movement since the late 80's. She has been active is 12 Step programs and has brought her special abilities for working with troubled teens into correctional facilities and halfway houses. She also worked with abused women in California by leading recovery meetings in women's shelters. Shari is an ordained Minister with the Spiritual Enlightenment Alliance. She is also the Director of Operations for the Institute of Radical Forgiveness and works closely with Colin Tipping on a daily basis developing programs and supporting him in his work.

Shari is a Certified Radical Forgiveness Coach working with clients who seek to achieve inner peace. She supports clients in reaching this objective by helping them release old victim stories and self-destructive patterns. Her goal is to guide her clients into receiving the joy and abundance that are theirs to claim. 

Karla Garrett

As a Coach and Radical Forgiveness Workshop Facilitator, Karla’s mission is to use her skills as a teacher to assist others in living with awareness and achieving their full potential.  As the founder of Living on Purpose, she provides spiritual education for her clients and teaches practical life skills.  Karla believes wholeheartedly that living in a state of awareness, fully conscious that every word and deed fulfill your life's purpose, will lead to a sense of peace, joy, order and power in your daily life.

Acquiring teaching credentials in 1973 and a law degree in 1978, Karla spent years honing her teaching and counseling skills with both students and clients before leaving the practice of law in 1989.  Pursuing a life-long passion, she began to augment her nearly 40 years of metaphysical and spiritual studies with courses in specific disciplines designed to heighten personal awareness.  With a practice based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Karla has offered teaching and mentoring services since 1991.  In addition to offering teaching and coaching in Radical Forgiveness, she is also a certified Reiki Master-Teacher, a Certified Master Graphologist and a Certified Hypnotist.

Karla feels that her greatest educational experience has come about through a lengthy healing process occasioned by serious physical health challenges which surfaced in early 1993.  Threatened on every front -- physical, mental, emotional and spiritual -- Karla has rebuilt her core beliefs and has adopted a new perception of illness as a positive impetus for change.  And today, she continually practices an integrated approach to wholeness.
